Trying to install Windows 11 but stuck on the Microsoft account login screen? Here's how to bypass it using both the classic and latest 2025 working methods!
Microsoft has been pushing hard to make Microsoft accounts mandatory in Windows 11 setup. But not everyone wants to log in with an online ID — maybe you're reinstalling, testing, or just prefer privacy.
Good news: You can still create a local account. Here's both the old school and the newest 2025 trick that works flawlessly — even with internet connected.
Method 1: Classic Bypass using oobe\bypassnro
- During setup, when you reach the Microsoft account screen, press Shift + F10 to open Command Prompt.

- Type the following command and press Enter:
oobe\bypassnro - The system will automatically reboot.
- After reboot, you will see the option to create a local account instead of signing into a Microsoft account.
Method 2: New Instant Trick (2025) – start ms-cxh:localonly
If you're on a newer build and want to skip rebooting, use this cleaner command.
- When you reach the Microsoft sign-in screen, press Shift + F10 to open Command Prompt.

-
Type:
start ms-cxh:localonly
- This will instantly bring up the local user creation screen — no reboot required!
Why Microsoft Is Doing This
- They want more users in their ecosystem (OneDrive, Store, Ads, etc.)
- But you still have control — these commands use official system hooks to offer the local account path.

Final Tip
You can use either method, but we recommend start ms-cxh:localonly as it's faster and doesn’t require a reboot. Both work on most builds of Windows 11 as of June 2025.
